1Start with three steps
Most simple routines are built from the same three jobs. Cleanse to wash off the day. Moisturize to help skin hold on to water. Protect with sunscreen in the morning. Everything else is optional.
Choose products whose directions and ingredient lists you have actually read. The label guide shows how.
2Add one thing at a time
When you want to try something new, add only that one thing, and write the date on your calendar. If you change four products at once and something feels off, you cannot tell which one it was. Leave a couple of weeks between additions, and follow the product directions on how often to use it.
3What a routine does not need
- A product for every concern on the shelf.
- A high price. Cost and quality are not the same thing.
- Steps you do not have time to keep up. A short routine you actually do beats a long one you skip.
